DarinInfant/Toddler Water Exploration

This class is designed for children between the ages of six months to 3 years. The primary emphasis is providing a positive introduction to a water environment. A parent or caretaker must accompany the child in the water. The instructor works with the parents to introduce the child to blowing bubbles, face in the water, supported floating on stomach/back, and kicking.

Level 1: Water Exploration (3+)

This class is designed for beginners with little or no swimming experience. A child is ready to take this class when he or she can follow directions from an instructor. The class includes instruction on the following skills from the American Red Cross: bubble blowing, face in water, submerged body (on wall or supported), supported floating on stomach/back, and kicking.

Level 2: Primary Skills (5+)

This class is designed for children who are more comfortable in the water, but need instruction on developing the basic strokes. Skills include unsupported floating, kicking, bobbling, and doggy paddle.
